Dear Viewers,
Today we celebrated Good Friday; the crucifixion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We meditated on what it cost our Lord that day so we could one day sit in heavenly places with Him and our Father. What our Lord did; He did willingly and without complaint.
We need to meditate on this and understand that we are to be just like our Lord and carry out our assignments here on earth in the same manner that our Lord did on Good Friday. If we would practice being just like Jesus, this world would want our Lord and not the false God that they are serving. But because the world does not see anything different in the church, they want nothing to do with our precious Savior who died a cruel death for our salvation.
What is going to happen, if the church does not change? God has said: Matthew 18:6. "But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea.
Matthew 5:13-20 "You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.
14.. "You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden.
15.. "Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand and it gives light to all who are in the house.
16.. "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
17.. "Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.
18.. "For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.
19.. "Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
20.. "For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven.
We must allow our lights to shine and our salt keep its flavor; then we will be the true lights that our Lord has destined us to become.
Matthew 16:24-25 Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.
25.. "For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
Sunday is resurrection day. We are not only celebrating the resurrection of our Lord; but also the resurrection of the Body of Christ into newness of life. Step into that newness of life and remember what our Father said:
Isaiah 60:1-3 Arise, shine; for your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.
2. for behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and deep darkness the people; but the Lord will arise over you, and His glory will be seen upon you.
3. the Gentiles shall come to your light, and kings to the brightness of your rising.
Shalom
